Great local Thai spot and my favorite in the Seal Beach area! Good for dining in or takeout. Get the garlic rice and you can't go wrong with any of the classic Thai dishes -- the yellow curry is flavorful with a little kick, khao soi hits the spot for cold winter nights and the garlic pepper chicken with broccoli is also delicious.

This was our second visit to Rocharin. We liked it the first time around. We loved it the second. Upon entering we were promptly seated. The server even remembered us from our first visit. I was very impressed by that feat. She even remembered what my wife ordered. She could not recall me ordering the Red Curry. The restaurant was warm. Outside it was cold and foggy, so we really enjoyed the warm, welcoming interior of the restaurant. Now for today's ordering. Once again my wife ordered Pad Thai with pork. That woman does love her Pad Thai. She reported that it was very good! Me, while being tempted to go for the curry, I did not surcome to the urge. Instead, I ordered the Fried Branzino (Bass). The Branzino was terrific! It came with a small salad, rice and vegetables. All were prepared well. We'll be going back. This restaurant has earned my respect. They prepare and serve quality food at fair pricing. Almost forgot...our server was Jeremy. He made sure experience was enjoyable.

Conveniently located near Main Street in Seal Beach but far enough away to 1) avoid traffic and 2) have free parking! Just off of PCH and 5th. The ambiance in this place is fairly nice and is a good place to meet friends and family. Arriving at 6pm we were seated immediately with just two other tables filled. By 6:30 the place was nearly at capacity! The menu has a lot of variety and I was delighted to see Pumpkin Curry and Pineapple Curry which one doesn't see often enough; however, I opted not to try these. Next time. I ordered the Stirfry Eggplant with Soft Tofu (also a big plus that this protein is listed separately from just regular Tofu which is often fried). The dish had a nice tangy sauce and comes with your choice of rice(s). It was not greasy. Could have been spicier but I did not request the spice tray so no complaints about that. My friend ordered an entree of Glass Noodles with Scallops and Shrimp. This was disappointing as it was too dry and the seafood pieces small. Perhaps this is standard. I'd opt out on this dish. The service is good and the staff friendly.

Hands down continues to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants! When dining in, the restaurant is gorgeous inside and everyone is so kind and helpful! For takeout, they are efficient and always get our order correct. Favorite I still continue to order are the curry noodle soup (khoa soi) and the garlic green beans. The mango sticky rice dessert is always a great choice too! Looking forward to our next visit!

I picked up a pineapple fried rice for dinner. It has 2 shrimps with a few pieces of chicken. The rice was a little soggy but overall it was ok.

We had an eventful day in Seal Beach and decided to stop by here for lunch. Parking: Free parking lot. They're located in a small plaza, so parking can be a bit tricky. We got lucky with parking in front of the restaurant. Ambiance/Environment: Really nice and clean inside! Great for large groups. They have a small bar in the back left corner. We came in around @12:30, and noticed it started getting busy in the late afternoon. You can do a walk up or make reservations online. Service: Shout out to our server Jeremy! Not only was he waiting tables by himself, but he also took great care of us! Very courteous and efficient. Throughput was approximately 15 min for our orders. What we ordered: 1) Royal Thai Appetizer (lunch special), Sake Paloma, Sake Moscow Mule - This royal appetizer came in a 3 tier stand filled with all Thai classics such as egg rolls, chicken skewers, cheese puffs, coconut shrimps, fried dumplings, Thai money bags, and shrimp wrappers. All the sauces came on top. My favorite was the peanut sauce. Everything was cooked well and absolutely delicious! We decided to go with the 2 cocktails. The Moscow mule was strong, and the Paloma was sweet & fruity. 2) Seal Beach Noodles - stir fry yakisoba noodles with shrimp, chicken, onions, dry chili, cashew nuts, & water chestnuts in their special house sauce. The noodles had a lot of flavor and wasn't too salty. The chicken and shrimp were also cooked well, though I wish it had more of it. 3) Mongolian Beef with Jasmine brown rice (lunch special) - Mongolian beef was mouth watering! The jasmine brown rice wasn't too sticky. The dressing on the salad really pulled the flavors together. This also came with a small soup and crispy wonton; both had a plain taste but made the entire dish fulfilling. 4) Mango Lemonade & Thai Tea Lemonade - These were so refreshing! We loved both our drinks! Pricing: It is a bit on the pricier end. Can't blame them for operating in this inflation. I'd say it's worth it because their food tastes authentic, great service, and welcoming ambiance.

This place deserves more hype because their customer service and plating is exceptional! The owner prides themselves on the quality of their meat and shrimp and it definitely didn't disappoint as I got their Thai Boat Noodle and appetizer assortment tier. Overall, the food was quite flavorful and my favorite was the classic Mango Sticky Rice. The place had such a cozy and almost intimate ambiance, perfect for a date night spot or just a cozy get together.

If you're a fan of exceptional Thai cuisine, (and service) you absolutely must visit Rocharin Thai Bistro. This unassuming gem of a restaurant, nestled in a cozy center, delivers an unforgettable dining experience that rivals even the most acclaimed establishments. From the moment you step in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an incredible meal. The drinks are a standout--whether you're sipping on the refreshing mango lemonade, savoring the rich, creamy Thai iced coffee, or enjoying a chilled Sapporo during happy hour, each beverage complements the vibrant flavors of the food perfectly. Start your culinary adventure with the Royal Thai Appetizer Platter. This dish is a feast for the senses, featuring Chicken satay, Spring rolls, Coconut Shrimp and delectable Cheese Puffs. Each item is a masterclass in Thai appetizers, expertly seasoned and beautifully presented. For the main course, you can't go wrong with the Treasure Pot. The combination of shrimp and scallops, steamed with silver noodles, shiitake mushrooms, fresh ginger, onions, and celery, creates a dish that's both delicate and deeply flavorful. The freshness of the seafood paired with the aromatic blend of ingredients is a true testament to the chef's skill. And then there's the Crab Fried Rice. This dish is nothing short of extraordinary. Pan-fried rice, fluffy with eggs, onions, and tomatoes, is elevated to a new level with generous chunks of real crab meat and perfectly scrambled eggs. It's a luxurious take on a classic that will have you coming back for more. Rochain Thai Bistro might be a hole in the wall, but it delivers a dining experience that is nothing short of spectacular. It's a hidden treasure where every dish is crafted with care and every bite is a celebration of Thai culinary excellence.

OC's Best Thai Ribeye Steak goes to Rocharin! Yes, I know... confused? Rocharin Thai Bistro is a hidden gem in Seal Beach that doesn't step down from Thai flavor despite being a very small retired community and this was completely unexpected. My critical Thai mother was impressed and mentioned the flavors tasted similar to her own home cooking. On top of that, you will receive the nicest service from @pa2patou ! Why do I think Rocharin has the best Thai Ribeye Steak aka Crying Tiger? The large Ribeye Steak is nicely marinated and grilled to perfection. It served with this tangy lime sauce that has dried chili flakes, shallots, scallions, fish sauce and more. Oh this sauce is an addiction! As you dip your pieces of steak into the Thai sauce, with every bite you will just want more and more. Visual review: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-X3UvhpFOB/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
